Hello,

Help us to create a logo for Diffract or vote for one. Also any icon idea is welcome :)

Cheers,

If we try to dig the diffraction idea, we can find this kind of image online:

I am no designer, but here is my rough take of this representation as icon:

Note that I make it looks like a "D" for diffract.

There is a kind of art deco style quite nice :)

I like your proposal a lot! Especially with the way it turns into a D.

Another concept I had in mind was the double slit experiment: it's based on diffraction, and like a diff it looks like 2 items as input and many smaller items as output. No idea how to make that look like a nice logo though 😄

@Tarmil Nice idea! A bit out of my league though. Maybe someone else will take a shot to create a logo with this concept. Glad you like my submission ^^

I have tried to keep the D-spirit and the notion of blur that appear with diffraction, but I'm not convince myself. 😅

So we have light source ---> wall1 ---> wall2. The schema places the camera like in a 2D game, but you decided to place it between wall1 and wall2 on the top I think. This is both good and creative afaik. Well done!

@aloisdg Thanks!
In fact, i played with the @Tarmil 's image.
I kept the "equality" sign (on the first wall) that sound like "comparison" to me, that is the aim of the library.
And I loved your idea with the D form, but i've tried to keep the blur effect due to diffraction.

Some other submissions pushing the "D" initial.

g1157

Here is some indexes to name them. Top left is 0 and bottom right is 7.

0 1 2 3
4 5 6 7

My own favorite is the 0 followed by 6.
