Whenever I press save to save changes tlpui just freezes and i have to pkill it to close it.

I'm having the same issue, but I launched it from the terminal to see what happened. After force-closing it with pkill, I can see the reason why it's frozen:

==== AUTHENTICATING FOR org.freedesktop.policykit.exec ====
Authentication is needed to run `/usr/bin/sed -n w/etc/tlp.conf /tmp/tmpfi7ohhli' as the super user
Multiple identities can be used for authentication:
 1.  (my first user name)
 2.  (my second user name)
Choose identity to authenticate as (1-2): Terminated

It's actually waiting for some kind of input. Could this be the same problem you are facing? Do you have more than one user account on your system?

Hi,
which option of TLP-UI are you running? FlatPak?
It seems it has issues creating the privileged access dialog.

Questions:

  • What system are you running?
  • What version of TLP and TLP-UI are you running?
  • Do you have one of pkexec, gksu, gksudo, kdesu, kdesudo installed?

I'm using TLP-UI 2:1.7.1-1 from the AUR on Arch with TLP version 1.7.0-1.

pkexec is installed, but none of the others which you listed.
