IONVMeFamily KP after freezing (spinning wheel) #509
Comments
Yes, it's an SSD related problem, same with #218. |
Actually I have a PM960, that's why I created the issue. |
Then it’s also an known SSD issue of Xiaomi-Pro. You can check the issue I referenced. Some particular Xiaomi-Pro devices would suffer from NVMe Controller KPs a lot, and the reason is unknown. |
I think it's more likely a hardware problem, I've tried using NvmeFix, disabling RtcHibernateAware and still happening. |
If you are using that drive for the hackingtosh, consider changing it or disabling it. |
Im using it for the last 2 years with MacOS, the thing is that it happened to me some times, discharging the motherboard of power fixed it for months (unplugging battery and pressing power button for roughly 15 seconds). |
@msr1715 Here you can find some info regarding SSDs on macOS: If you have newer info, I'd like to know. Hope I helped ;) |
State the model
XiaoMi-Pro MX150
State the version of the EFI
v1.4.7
Describe the bug
Could it be a hardware issue related? I'm afraid both issues may be because of SSD dying or PCI port dying.
NOTE: I just reinstalled MacOS11.01 so it is purely clean now, only VSCode and Magnet installed.
