To resolve this issue had to rig a Windows 10 machine. Flashed the latest #27 Generic Firmware . exe, after went through this process.the modem's blinky light was reactivated on the pci-e card as it had been previously. Not sure why have so much trouble with all the Linux flashing possibilities.
Two days ago after many hours learning the em7455 had the modem to were it had a "SUCCESS" connected in the ModemManager Gui,,but disconnected, in 10 seconds,,with an active Visible sim. So decided had to try something different. tried flashing with the Verizon firmware and now can not enable the modem. Looking through syslog, dmesg, and modemmanager systemctl status not sure what is causing the 'not enabled' condition. Sometimes i do see "the dev/wdm0 is not qmi capable. ? i think was in the modemmanagers systemctl status I did do the autoflash-7455 a couple times, back to generic firmware and shows as generic .
