Can't get star to change color after click on mobile

I've been testing the star rating component and it works great and is way more accessible than other one's I've seen but I'm running in to one issue. When I click a star on mobile the stars svg doesn't get the new class. Everything works great on desktop. Using Alpine V3. Maybe that's it?
