In some games it makes sense to fix camera on player camera (like it is now). I think we could instead try out to slightly pan the camera out to where the flash light is pointing/player is looking (like in noita for example). This would win us some vision range and make it feel more claustrophobic at the same time.
Be careful about panning causing nausea, maybe implement option toggle for it.
