Meeting Notes for 9th November STC meeting

Agenda and Notes:

1. Dapr acceptance into the CNCF - [Incubating PROJECT ONBOARDING] Dapr [Incubating PROJECT ONBOARDING] Dapr cncf/sandbox#228
   • This was discussed and the STC agreed on the benefits to the project. The date set by the CNCF for transition was 15th Dec 2021. @msfussell to coordinate
2. Steering and Technical Committee membership update
   • @msfussell @yaron2 left MSFT to form their own company and will remain actively involved in the STC. The STC members voted on allowing MSFT to replace to 2 people on the STC. The vote was passed. MSFT has been informed and they are in the process of determining who to select. 1 person for technical committee and 1 person for the steering commitee.
3. Dapr Website dapr.io STC meeting agenda item - dapr.io update Present OpenMessaging to TOC cncf/toc#103
   • @orizohar presented an update to the http://dapr.io website for vote on to update. This had previously been shared. Main feedback was
     - @beiwei30 - Indicating that is did not say "Distributed Application Runtime" for Dapr anywhere
     - @cvictory commenting on the benefit of the diagrams
     - The STC voted to approve the new website for publishing.
4. Open discussion of other issues
   • There was discussion on some outstanding proposal to bring to the STC in future. No decisions were made.
