yeah, this would be helpful, but probably/maybe in a separate repo.
I'd need a devcontainer.json which has all the nix stuff (base nix image, but with Determinate installed, etc.), and then some extra features (vscode packages) as well as personalized dotfiles.

As such, this is probably blocked by

  1. doing a linux host setup,
  2. nix-ifying the dotfiles https://github.com/maxheld83/dotfiles/issues/109

there's also a bunch of repos out there already which do this, though most seem stale.
But should check more carefully.
