Columbia researchers reported that it takes 1.5min to fetch a filepath if the file is 43G. Let's provide an option to skip checksum when fetching. This requires user to avoid change the file externally.

This can be done in combination with establishing a policy for guarding the files by other means from being changed by other processes.
