I am trying to find the CFG lock entry in the BIOS firmware but I cannot seem to be able to find it in UEFITool.
As BIOS image I am using the Bios Update BootCD Lenovo provides. The other bios update option comes in the form of an .exe application. Is the Bios Update BootCD what I want in this case?
Could anyone provide the PATH to the CFG lock entry in UEFITool?
I suspect CFG Lock must be enabled since I am unable to undervolt the laptop, and cannot write to E2, see output below.
pietro@toilet ~ $ sudo rdmsr -a 0xE2
74008008
74008008
74008008

74008008
74008008
74008008
74008008
pietro@toilet ~ $ sudo wrmsr --a 0xE2 0
wrmsr: CPU 0 cannot set MSR 0x000000e2 to 0x0000000000000000
pietro@toilet ~ $
Factory resetting the BIOS and disabling Secure Boot did not help.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
