Phase 1 - Part 2 - Pipeline Release Stage

The Release Stage automates environment configuration and deployment of our system environments, as well as basic smoke testing of the system. By eliminating manual activities in the deployment process, we gain both safety and speed, eliminate deployment errors, and perform deployment fast anytime.

• Ensure you have Environments (we recommend GCP for developers)
• Create the Acceptance Test Repository (e.g. make a GitHub repository)
• Create Component Release Stages (e.g. use GitHub Actions)
• Add Release Stage to the Pipeline Dashboard (note: it was initially created in the Commit Stage)
• Create the Generic System Release Stage (e.g. use GitHub Actions)
• Write Smoke Tests
• Create the UAT Release Stage (e.g. use GitHub Actions, configure it with workflow_dispatch so that you can trigger the workflow manually)
• Create the Production Release Stage (e.g. use GitHub Actions, configure it with workflow_dispatch so that you can trigger the workflow manually)
