- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- olive oil (1 Tbsp
- Passata or canned crushed tomato (400-500 gms)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- optional: 1 tsp anchovy paste
- handful of chopped basil
- Saute garlic, don't brown it
- Add tomatoes, salt, sugar, pepper, basil (and anchovy paste if using it)
