Alternative software
Didn't do deep research. Presumably BTCPay could be used instead but it still needs some frontend. I think WP has something but would like to avoid such a huge thing.

Which packages need/should be integrated with this software? (write x into square brackets or add your own)

Additional context
Upstream code needs a bit of love before it can be added cleanly. Shouldn't be too much.
