How to stop the pipeline in a component?

How to stop the pipeline in a component,I'm currently returning None, is there a better way?

class CustomPromptBuilder(PromptBuilder):
  @component.output_types(prompt=str)
  def run(self, template: Optional[str] = None, template_variables: Optional[Dict[str, Any]] = None, **kwargs):
    documents = kwargs.get("documents")
    if documents is None or len(documents)<1:
       return None

    return super(CustomPromptBuilder, self).run(template, template_variables, **kwargs)
