Create Research Plan for Secondary Nav Usability Testing #99199
Comments
12/16: Research Plan is in progress in working doc. Once reviewed/finalized, it will be added to GitHub repo. |
@athenabozak84, thanks for creating this ticket. I wanted to call out the description section above seems to include a convo guide as part of this ticket. I think usually we do the plan first, and could make this ticket just about the plan. In this case I think that would serve us well, since we would define the prototypes to answer the questions/goals of the plan. And then the convo guide depends on the prototypes. Some of these pieces could maybe go in parallel, but probably not all of them? Just my 2c, I'll let the UX crew figure it out. |
@wesrowe @athenabozak84 In my opinion it only makes sense to be working on both the plan and the conversation guide in parallel. They imapct eachother greatly and changing 1 often requires changing the other. |
@wesrowe and @mcarterA6 : I've sent the research plan to @jonathanjnelson via Google docs for a collaborative review . Once UXers return from leave, we can align on TBD items such as general timeline and facilitators. I will then move this into the following GitHub repo (currently a placeholder): products/health-care/digital-health-modernization/mhv-to-va.gov/secondary-nav/2nd-comparison-study cc: @fmccaf1 |
Description
Define the purpose and approach for usability testing of the updated second navigation, including the evaluation of a few prototypes. Outline the research goals, identify the testing methods, and create a conversation guide to gather feedback on the ease of use, clarity, and overall user experience of the updated second navigation.
User story
As a Cartography team member, I want to understand how users interact with and prefer different versions of the secondary navigation on My HealtheVet on VA.gov, so I can identify usability challenges and make improvements.
As a Veteran, I want the secondary navigation to be intuitive and easy to use so I can quickly find my healthcare information and manage my health on MHV on VA.gov
