Thoughts/questions

  • Hi folks - I am giving this feedback in advance of the touchpoint because I will be OOO for the holidays. I return 1/2 and will review the meeting recording and add any additional feedback then.

Feedback

Practice areas will document their feedback on the VFS-provided artifacts following the Must, Should, and Consider Framework. Platform Governance reviewers may also provide additional notes that don’t comment on the artifacts themselves but are important for implementation (eg. engineering/coding notes).

  • Must: continue to work with CAIA to identify and update entry points There are so many entry points for this tool, and the actual school search portion of the tool is moving to a new URL. Y'all are already working with @scjwalker on some core IA decisions, so please keep in touch with them as you move toward launch. The big question here is that we are moving the actual school search/comparison tool to a level lower in the IA, as a child page of the GIBCT homepage - so in what cases do we need to link directly to the school search/comparison child page, and when should links go to the GIBCT homepage?

  • Consider: title for this tool now that scope has expanded I realize the name of this tool holds a lot of weight and a trademark. AND, "GI Bill Comparison Tool" now includes licenses and certifications and exams, which do not really involve comparison. Is the name "comparison tool" accurate for the entire suite of tools? As a heading for this page and as link text from other pages, GI Bill Comparison Tool is not super clear link text for what this product now is.

Governance team actions

  • Format feedback as individual tasks (check boxes)
  • Assign this ticket to the VFS team member that opened the Slack request
  • Add the VFS team product label
  • Add the VFS team the feature label (if applicable)
  • Add the touchpoint labels
  • Add the practice area labels
  • Add the Collaboration Cycle initiative milestone
