SCMS 2.3.1 with Incr. Num. Field 1.1.0 on PHP 5.4.6 says:

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in .../extensions/incremental_number/fields/field.incremental_number.php on line 59

Also, All The Best in 2013!

PS: For now, I commented out that line 59 and was able to bypass this issue that way. Right now I do not actively use this ext.
