Laser marking is definitely on our wish list too. There's a cost issue that might lead to a $5 higher retail price, but the problem has been that manufacturers don't really laser etch dice at these sizes.
We'll be doing a survey soon to ask backers what they think the ideal size of a DiceKey is. The current size uses 12mm dice. Our first design used 8mm dice to minimize product size, but we went with 12mm to ensure sufficient print quality. A 16mm die would use 16/9 as much plastic as 12mm die, but if customers want larger parts that are easier to handle, we'd be in the size range where we might be able to revisit laser etching and marking.
Not sure what the cost of screen printing vs. laser etching is, but the dice would look super sexy with sharp laser etched surfaces!
