Hello.

I have used diyabc for over 5years, yet have never run into this issue before.
When I tried to run my data (5000snps 319 samples 5 populations with 5 different scenarios), the simulation run never completed.
I tried to trouble shooting with test data set and realized the simulation run gets the same issue when using more than 3 populations.
If only 3 pops are used, the simulation runs fine with any types of scenarios whether it is complicated or not.
However, if the number of pops used is more than 3, then the simulation keeps running without any results. It happens even if the scenario is very simple.
I tried the test run with the example data diyabc provided.
It runs just fine if I run it on the project window with the project type "example". FIY, the example has 4 pops.
However, if I download the data and run it as new project then the run shows the same issue.
Same problem happens on both diyabc (old ver.) and diyabc-rf.
It is very weird because I ran diyabc with 6 pops about 5years ago. The run went very well at that time.
Maybe this is a potential bug or something.
Please look into the problem and let me know how to handle.

Thank you for the help in advance.

Hi, I am really sorry for the very late reply.

Due to work overload, the development, support and maintenance for the project diyabcGUI is currently paused. Feel free to contact us (by submitting an issue) if you want to take over the development for this project. Pull request are also welcome to fix bug or implement missing functionalities.

I have updated the README file to announce this. This is the official announcement to clarify a situation that has been going on for quite some time.

You can still use the command line version of the software which is still maintained/supported. Check the documentation page here.

All my apologies for the trouble,
Best regards
