The fov slider doesn't work and people are forced to alter the screen height and amount of monitors instead.

Same problem for me.

Changing the resolution isn't an ideal solution since it messes with menu scaling.
For example, your character will be displayed incorrectly sized in menus.

The slider just doesn't seem to save custom positions and the default setting (which works) is too high for my tastes.

EDIT: If you activate the fix before loading a save game then the slider value is taken into account and it works correctly.
