This repo gets linked to in docker-mailserver/docker-mailserver#2049 and in docker-mailserver/docker-mailserver#1800 but for over a year there were no changes made. Is there something being done in the background?

Just saw this, no sorry. No active maintainer works on this and the contributor that was leading it seems to have stopped.

This particular repo doesn't have to be continued, anyone is welcome to build their own, we can document and endorse it. It could be made a repo like this one, but it would probably be best if it's actually ready and maintained before transferring to the DMS org as no maintainers for DMS are likely to maintain it 😅

There is a recent issue discussing API for password changing again, someone might take a shot at building an API service again. Otherwise there appears to be an actively maintained solution you could look into 👍

Just for reference there is two recent projects shared here: https://github.com/orgs/docker-mailserver/discussions/4177

  • An alias management web UI written in Go that uses a separate container with the Docker socket API to run commands in DMS container.
  • A very nice looking web UI, but no open-source repo linked at present. They've been directed to this repo for reviving the API project should they be interested.
