Probably should have created a new issue for this instead of responded to a closed one

Just tried Sophie DX with Proton-6.8-GE-1, and I still have the white screen at startup. This Proton-GE release should have a DXVK up to b84a03b, and I see d3d9.deferSurfaceCreation has been applied in the logs. I cleared the prefix before trying.

info: DXVK: v1.8.1-async

Please do not report bugs with unsupported patch sets.

Anyway, not much we can do if the workaround doesn't fix the problem.

Sorry about that. I reuploaded the logs using Proton 6.3-3 and the latest DXVK build 0520ce9

If this doesn't show you anything different, then I guess it's up to Wine to fix?

According to https://www.protondb.com/app/1502970 it works fine for other users with the workaround, so not sure what's wrong here.

I figured it out. It was mesa-tkg-git causing the issue. Reverted back to the mesa package provided by the official Arch repos, and everything worked fine again.

The game window starts up minimized, but I doubt that's a DXVK problem
