Linux: 🐧 (U+1F427 PENGUIN)
(Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum fonts also have U+E000, in private use area, but they are not monospace)

Debian: ꩜ (U+AA5C CHAM PUNCTUATION SPIRAL)
Ubuntu: ◌ (U+25CC DOTTED CIRCLE)
Fedora: ∞ (U+221E INFINITY)
NetBSD: ⚑ (U+2691 BLACK FLAG)
FreeBSD: 👿 (U+1F47F)
OpenBSD: 🐠 (U+1F420 TROPICAL FISH)

OpenBSD should be 🐡 U+1F421 Blowfish
