Document bytewise

Looking at https://github.com/substack/fwdb/blob/master/index.js I notice that it seems to use require('level-sublevel/bytewise') rather than require('level-sublevel'). I assume that it does this because it uses the bytewise key encoding internally. Am I correct in this assumption? Why is that necessary?
