GitHub Discussions

We've started to experiment with using GitHub Discussions in an IETF WG, and some have asked for a summary of discussions to show up in the activity summary.

Discussions don't appear to be listed in GitHub event types, but apparently there is GraphQL support.

could you share a pointer to these github discussions, and maybe what the summary would look like?

I guess adding GraphQL to the picture might be an option; it looks like Discussions might be coming to webhooks later, which I assume would imply having them exposed as event types too.

I would say nothing fancy, just treat each new thread as a new issue.

I appreciate that Discussions is still in state of flexibility :) so no quick rush. Like next week is fine instead of now. :)

i18n is also experimenting with using GitHub Discussions, and a summary of discussions in the daily/weekly digest would be useful. Some examples of other places in W3C where GitHub Discussions is used:
