It seems that the ROMs do not have something correctly set in their code or something. Their save-types cannot be detected by emulators and I had to go by trial-and-error to figure out a combo of settings to get them to save (I found that SRAM 64k got the job done). Most people do not know that there are save settings in emulators and thus will believe that this port is somewhat of a let down due to no saving in emulators. This was evident in a comment I received on a video I produced singing this port's praises.
I believe this saving issue should be rectified so that no more people think that it's broken.
Also, of course it just saves with no issues on my flash cart (EZ-Flash). <3

Confirm saving via the built in saving does not save correctly when playing this on Analogue Pocket using GBA emulator. Though Save States do work so at least can save that way for now.
