Describe the issue or suggestion

Hi
I was exploring Aspire by following a guide at https://github.com/csharpfritz/BigBadBlog/blob/main/docs/1-Introduction.md. However, when I try to add Redis Commander to Aspire, it seems like the port setup to Redis on the commander container is not correct? It refuses to connect to the Redis instance if I query inside the Commander.

Are you using podman or docker?

I am using docker on linux. It also seems like the docker.host.internal is a windows thing?

maybe this is the root cause docker/for-linux#264. Is aspire allow to set an external host like this?

@karolz-ms @danegsta - is using host-gateway possible when Docker Desktop is not installed?

@masonyc - is it possible to install Docker Desktop? I believe that will make this scenario work.

host-gateway without Docker Desktop still doesn't allow communicating to Aspire/DCP proxies because we bind to localhost only, but host-gateway uses a specific network interface/IP (and therefore won't resolve to localhost on the host machine). Docker Desktop implements a proxy to forward gateway traffic to localhost.

hi @eerhardt , thanks for the reply. Yes, installing docker desktop will solve the issue.

This isn't really a docs issue, and it seems like there's a work around. Can we close this?
