the one in the subject. I was able to do so in Entity Framework 6, but not in EF Core. I had no performance issues, so migrating is for me no option at this moment.

This issue is lacking enough information for us to be able to fully understand what is happening. Please attach a small, runnable project or post a small, runnable code listing that reproduces what you are seeing so that we can investigate.

EFCoreSplitTables.zip

Database is included as a bacpac.
I have a working version in Entity Framework 6 with an identical database schema.
