Possible info to log:

  • Metadata update handlers that were executed by delta applier
  • Some info that's currently only reported to in-memory log (such as PDB issues).
  • Similar info as dotnet-watch --verbose

Also consider logging from runtime, debugger, frameworks.

Various components might need to be modified to provide channels that can pass the logging info to the right VS APIs.
