Self-changing time limits to prevent bot detection. #9
Comments
hey can you provide more description about the enhancement I am planning on working on it |
Hi @Kaif9999, Thank you for your interest in contributing to the project! I wanted to provide some context regarding the current state of the project. The last time I personally used this bot was about four years ago, so I'm not sure if it still functions as intended. Given the time that has passed, several aspects likely need updating. Firstly, the HTML tags used in the code might need adjustments to align with the current structure of the target website. The page URLs are probably different now, and there might have been updates to their bot detection methods as well. Regarding the enhancement, my goal was to make the "check_interval" in main.py dynamic. Specifically, I wanted to increase the interval value if the bot gets flagged, indicating that we need to slow down our requests to avoid detection. Best, |
Hi @drkostas, I'm willing to contribute to this can you please open a issue where we have to update the bot to work properly according to today's standards, and assign it to me , once I solve that issue I will move forward to solving this one. |
Hi @Kaif9999, Thank you for your willingness to contribute! At the moment, I do not intend to work on this project myself. However, you are welcome to create a new issue related to adapting the code to ensure it still works with today's standards. Once you create the issue, you can start working on it, and I will be happy to assign it to you. Feel free to reach out if you need any guidance or have any questions during the process. |
I am starting to read and understand your code base and will begin contributing thanks for your help, assign the issues that I create and help in the process that would be so nice of you. |
