Feature for this project

If/when FreeDV starts to gain more general acceptance there will be many stations wanting to get feedback on their transmitted signal quality, many of whom may not be very computer savvy.

At present it is not possible to transmit back the raw signal as received without complex audio configuration probably beyond most users, especially on the fly.

Some very high end transceivers can do this, e.g. Flex but most can not.

Remote SDRs can be used but again some advanced audio configuration is needed like virtual cables or pipewire scripts etc.

All of the above complication would be removed if this feature was added.

I was very surprised a couple of years ago when I first discovered that this feature was not already included.

Most of the code blocks to implement this must already exist so I guess it should be relatively straightforward to implement. :)

I appreciate that there are more important things going on right now, but that will always be the case, so I decided that now was as good a time as any to suggest it.
