Select by hitting return, once only one option remains

A suggestion:

When selecting, I would expect that if I type a full word that is in the list and hit return, then that word should be selected. But this is not what happens now. I can't even use the keyboard up and down arrows to select the word when there is only one matching word in the list, without using my mouse.

Even better would be if I could type in enough of the word to narrow it down to one choice and hit return and have that choice be saved.
