Links in dates and/or symbols?

It would be very convenient if I could link the dates to the corresponding daily notes. Even better if I could also link the emojis or text to a note.

For example, if I played a game on 2021-06-28, I would like to be able to enter that as:

([28](2021-06-28.md),[🎲](game-note.md))

or the equivalent in wikilink format, and be able to click on the links in the rendered calendar.

Unfortunately I am clueless about javascript, so I don't know how much work I'm suggesting here...

I will think about it @HarveyBA . The major problem for me is that I'm not familiar with the APIs, and the examples or tutorials are missing.
