Use of the word 'Experiment'

The more I read about the subject, the more I see the word experiment being used.

This tutorial should be updated to reflect that, explaining the term to the reader (maybe also adding it to the 'terminology' section)? It's an accessible word and using it here will also allow readers to feel more comfortable when reading more widely about the subject.
