Error when saving entry Guestbook

Hi,

I am using the Guestbook plugin of :

Chavo & Rich & Titanik
new functions by Smarti

I was wondering why I never saw an entry added and I tried it myself and it did not work. So I checked if there were errors in the logs at my webspace provider side. I found an error in the logs. Here is the screenshot.

I don't know if I can solve this, because I did not take a closer look at this and I am just a novice if we talk about PHP programming. Maybe someone can help me and the community to get this plugin to work again?

You need a updated plugin. eregi_replace function was DEPRECATED in PHP 5.3.0, and REMOVED in PHP 7.0.0.

I'm not that experienced....
I'll try to give it a try....

Check & test it now. Plugin has a lot of deprecated functions, needs further update and cleaning, but for now i think it works. I changed version just in case.

Thank you.

I just tested it and writing a message works. However the guestbook entry is not being displayed when I submitted it. I used phpMyAdmin to take a look into the table and the message is present. So only displaying guestbook entries still seems to be a problem.

You have to approve the message in the admin area of e107, for it to display.
