I encountered this issue as I was trying to get a better overview of the eWaterCycle containers and their source files. What would be the envisioned mechanism? I would think something like:

  • Dockerfiles for BMI-enabled models in the models' source code repo (e.g. wflow-bmi)
  • A central repo containing Dockerfiles for each of the models used in eWaterCycle, which inherits from the above and only adds grpc4bmi server (e.g. wflow-grpc4bmi)

I guess that last repo is what this issue is suggesting, right? Would it make sense to re-purpose this repository to that effect? Or does this repo still have its own purpose to fulfill?
