How do you modify text properties in the .coffee notation

Hi, I am a Master's Student getting started with coffee-editor demo to migrate embedded systems data model to emf.cloud.
I have looked through the demo ide and .coffee schema file . Where you provide info on the brewing unit, the control unit info. I was looking , just for the sake of experimentation, to add a new element like 'coffee streamer' I was trying to find this in your repo as to how you are doing this. I stumbled upon this. 'coffee-editor/web/browser-app/lib/53.bundle.js' . Is this a right approach?

Hi,
in order to add a new component to the tree, you must extend the cofee-schema. https://github.com/eclipsesource/coffee-editor/blob/30746bbf060bca7a9fd0cb15f43d4fdc77b793c6/web/coffee-editor-extension/src/browser/coffee-tree/coffee-schemas.ts#L259
You also need to extend here: https://github.com/eclipsesource/coffee-editor/blob/master/web/coffee-editor-extension/src/browser/coffee-tree/coffee-model.ts so that the tree can pick up your new component.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
I made the changes as you had mentioned. I was able to add this element in the schema.
But i have been trying to add component properties like name and other properties, which i did , replicating the other parameters, but i keep getting the error 'No applicable renderer found' . I had also added a '-view' for the component in 'coffee-model-server.ts' in the same directory, But getting the same error.

Hi,
The problem is the setup of the coffee-editor. It is using the modelserver in the background. This means you would need to update it to. @tortmayr do we have a documentation how to do it?

Could you explain what you want to achieve in the end, so which components do you want to use?

What I wanted to know primarily how to add different components to create something like a Embedded system data model where we can add features like tasks , the worst case execution time for tasks , periodicity of these tasks etc

My question is about which components of the coffee example you want to use.

Hi, As of now I wanted to use the Form based editing , graphical modelling of the coffee-editor example with the model server.

Ok, you should then check the modelserver and its emf model, this is what you will need to adapt
The modelserver does not provide the jsonschema, so this is the adaptation on the frontend.
GLSP needs the emf model that is used by the modelserver, so this code can be shared.
If you find missing documentation please let us know. We also gladly accept documentation in the form of md files or the wiki.
