instead of to a fixed lists of interested people.
As people and their interest may come and go it's simpler to not have a fixed list of people to which notifications are send.

@jarthana, @mpalat or @stephan-herrmann, what do you think?

Totally makes sense to me. As I have been receiving this email, I always thought it's coming through jdt-dev now I see I was listed explicitly.

I am OK with it. The question is, will there be anyone in the mailing list that would think they are being spammed?

Next Java version support is the essense of jdt work to people subscribed to jdt-dev thus I don't see this as an issue.

Hi Folks, I don't see any mail to jdt-dev - assuming it is so because of no successful Y build post 23rd december -raised #2710

Hi Folks, I don't see any mail to jdt-dev - assuming it is so because of no successful Y build post 23rd december -raised #2710

Currently the Y-build succeeds and says it's Sending email to: jdt-dev@eclipse.org (see https://ci.eclipse.org/releng/job/YPBuilds/job/Y-build-4.35/40/console)

But I haven't received any yet and when looking at the archives I also don't see any:
https://www.eclipse.org/lists/jdt-dev/2024/Dec/index.html

So it looks like sending the mail to the jdt mailing list fails somewhere in-between, but for platform-releng-dev this works. I'm puzzled.

Is it because jdt-dev requires subscription, like other mailing list and this email id [genie.releng@eclipse.org?] is not recognized?
