This is not really an "issue" per se, but more a RFI. I was wondering whether MetView and specifically metview-python supports data on triangular meshes such as the mesh of the ICON model. We typically also use cfgrib to import ICON data into Python, but I am not sure whether the suite of MetView / MAGICS / ... tools would be able to ingest data on a triangular mesh such as the one used in the ICON model and what the pre-requisites (in terms of meta-data conventions) are for using the metview-python suite of tools.
