Describe the feature: Don't block field popover controls--most importantly the field edit pencil--when loading preview.

Describe a specific use case for the feature:
When I have a gnarly / slow runtime field
And I need to tweak the slow-executing field
I need to be able to click the pencil in Lens & Discover before the top values return in the popover
So I can save some time not waiting for values and getting right to the editor

Don't make me wait:
