Kibana version:
7.16+

Describe the bug:
Right now, it is not possible in the new implementation of the xy charts to have non-stacked bars with percentage mode.
We want to enable it as it is used by some users.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create an aggregation-based xy chart
  2. Choose percentage mode for the y axis
  3. See that the bars change to stacked automatically

Expected behavior:
We want to be possible to allow these calculation for the non-stacked bars.

As discussed offline we will:

  • Check if this is an easy addition to EC. If yes, we will wait for the fix from the EC side and then enable the option on XY charts
  • If it is a complicated calculation for kibana, we will try to add this on kibana side.

@stratoula we have released 39.1.0 version of elastic-charts that contains the function to compute externally that percentage elastic/elastic-charts#1495
Please check if it works for your case and let me know if you need help here
