Feature Request: A "Show linked visualizations" button #16747
Comments
I think I understand the ask here, GIVEN an individual search Sound about right? |
@deanpeters Yes, that sounds like one way to put it. The information about which visualization is dependent on which search already exists in Kibana, but there's no easy way to see all of it (or even chunks of it) at once. |
That is possible via the dependency tree nowadays in the saved object view, when checking which othe saved objects use this. |
Feature Request
It would be nice to have the ability to see a list of all visualizations that are linked to a specific search. I have a bunch of saved searches, and several are linked to several other visualizations, and now I can't remember which visualizations are linked to which searches. So I have to either open every visualization and check which search it is linked to, or export all saved objects to a JSON file and write a script to process it.
If there was a button on the Management page, under Saved Objects -> Searches, beside each search called "List linked visualizations" I think that would be useful. Or it could be on the Discover page: if a Saved Search has been opened, there could by a list or a drop-down of the visualizations linked to that search.
I just would like to have something that's easier than checking each object one-by-one (or writing JSON-processing scripts)...
