Browser:

  • Firefox 58.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • Use snapshot ml-elastic-data/_snapshots6/cloudwatch2016_snapshot (index pattern "cloudwatch*")
  • Create multi metric job: mean(CPUUtilization) / bucket span: 15m / influencer: instance
  • View results in Anomaly Explorer
  • Depending on browser size: use browser zoom in
    • At the change of month the dates have a gap of one day resulting in an overlap:
      anomaly_explorer_overlapping_dates

Additional information:

  • This applies also to the Single Metric Viewer and the preview during single metric and multi metric job creation

This seems to be a duplicate of #18187 which was already fixed via #19800. Using the "steps to reproduce", I end up with the following on latest master:

One of the overlapping labels gets removed automatically.

Reopening since this is only fixed for anomaly explorer but affects other areas of the UI as mentioned in the original issue description.
