The field information popover is not obviously connected to the rest of the app. Solutions could include:

  • A button that acts similar to dragging, might be called "Add {field name} to chart"
  • A button that acts like the suggestion panels, "Switch to this chart"

We have implement the first option "Add field to chart" button
