What would you like to do?

I would like to not see typing indicators at all, much like read receipts.

Why would you like to do it?

I have an anxiety disorder and typing indicators severely impact how I interact with people. The recent update put typing indicators into a much harder to ignore place, as well.

How would you like to achieve it?

An option in preferences under "timeline" that hides typing notifications in all places.

I know it's probably not the right thing to advertise other apps in issue trackers, but since this can affect someone's mental health, maybe you can accept it this time.
@Fidgetcetera I recommend trying Syphon until this is added in Element. In Syphon, you can disable both incoming and outgoing typing indicators.
