Your use case

Telegram and element-web currently have tappable replied-to areas, currently in element iOS its impossible to jump to a replied-to message from a reply.

Have you considered any alternatives?

@pixlwave not really, that issue calls for a specific tapping-on on the timestamp of a reply, and is mainly based on Element Web's old reply design.

The new reply design allows clicking anywhere to jump, and that's what this issue is also calling for.

Sorry, I was thinking more meta, as in support tapping somewhere for both of these.

No I wasn't calling for any specific solution. I gave the example that Element Web worked like that at the time. That issue asks to be able to jump back to the message that is being replied to which is the same thing this issue asks for so this issue is a duplicate of that one.
