It would be nice to have a setting to make messages you sent in a room or mentions that are directed to you to be more visible in the chat such as being highlighted or bold. In rooms with many users that have many messages a day, it is best to not have to go though every message from the last unread message to find your message or mentions directed to you. It would be nice if your messages and mentions could stick out more.

Highlighting mentions is already possible. Although I am not sure where to enable/disable it. I don't think you can highlight the messages you sent.

I wouldn't call that a highlight. It's just your name, not the whole message or the line, so it's very easy to miss when scrolling through, especially since it's apparently not always a bright, visible color.

Perhaps instead of, or in addition to, better highlighting, there could be scroll markings, like when you search a page in Chrome. If you could set one color for mentions and another for your own comments, that would make it a lot easier to find them, even more so than highlighting, because you wouldn't have to scroll through looking for the highlights, and instead would see exactly where to scroll.
