Steps to reproduce

Sometimes when my computer (Ubuntu) crashes in a hard way and I need to hard-reset, Element will come back up and forget my stored session creds. I will have to log back in, remove the old session, each time this happens. But other apps (Discord, Slack, etc) don't have this problem.

I'm not sure how to reliably reproduce this in specific steps, but it happens enough to be a big enough problem for me to file this bug report.

Outcome

I expected the local app to remember the session info (saved creds) like it normally would after any "nice" rebooting of the system.

Operating system

Ubuntu Desktop 24.04

Application version

v1.11.86 (but this has happened for years now)

How did you install the app?

Apt repo

Homeserver

Public matrix.org

Will you send logs?

No
