Is it a Jitsi or Element Call video room, do you have matrix-org/matrix-spec-proposals#3277 enabled on your server as that's needed for video rooms not to get stuck users in the count when a user leaves non-gracefully

Element Call video room.
I'll check about the proposal and come back to let you know (if I found the answer).

How do you enable or disable it on a synapse server?

You'd need to ask somewhere supporting Synpase

Here is the answer I have been given : You don't, It's a WIP, there's no implementation yet (AFAIK).
So, I guess, it will remain as it is so far. It's ok. But please don't close it as it is not solved and other people might wonder the same question.

Sorry I think I referenced the wrong MSC, I believe Element Call uses matrix-org/matrix-spec-proposals#4140 instead. I will be closing this issue as not an issue with Element Web (but rather the Widget loaded within it (EC)), maybe an issue in the element-call repo could be kept open though if that MSC is also not supported by your environment

@t3chguy t3chguy closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Nov 25, 2024
