Steps to reproduce

  1. Turn on RTE, but don't activate the "Text Formatting" mode of the keyboard
  2. Type a word and notice that the first letter isn't uppercase

This is probably a regression from #2840

Outcome

What did you expect?

An uppercase first character, like before

Lowercase
